Currin Bridge Limited Edition Print

Michael Janisch, a local artist from Cottage Grove, has painted an original 24" x 36" acrylic on canvas painting of the Currin Covered Bridge near Cottage Grove, Oregon. This bridge is located on Layng Road 1.5 miles from Row River Road and is closed to traffic. Constructed in 1925 and restored in 1995, this bridge is named after a pioneer family in the area and replaced an earlier covered bridge built in 1883. Currin Bridge is the only one in Lane County with white portals and red sides.

Released October 6, 2007. Two hundred and fifty (250) limited edition prints, 15 7/16" x 10 15/16", of the original painting, signed and numbered by the artist are available to purchase for $15.00. Prints may be purchased through this site (http://ecomm.lanecounty.org); by credit card over the phone 1-800-826-8978; or in person at the Lane County Public Works office at 3040 North Delta Highway, Eugene. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays, except holidays. Orders that require mailing will be charged $5 per print shipping & handling.

Proceeds from the sale of the prints will go to the Lane County Parks Fund to help maintain the County's out-of-service covered bridges. This is one of five limited edition prints. Once sold out, there will not be any more produced. Just five original acrylic canvas paintings were commissioned.

Mr. Janisch was born in Cottage Grove and raised in Disston, Oregon. He attended the Industrial Design Commercial Art School in Portland. His specialty is Tromp l'oeil, Greek and Roman architecture. He has painted numerous commercial and residential paintings.
