Dorena Covered Bridge
Parks Division
Lane County Department of Public Works
Dorena Covered Bridge received its name after the town of Dorena. The town was covered by water when the reservoir, of the same name, was constructed in 1949. Constructed in 1949 as well, the bridge spans 105 feet with a Howe truss design. Open to traffic, the bridge crosses Row River. Rehabilitated and modified with new windows in 1996, this bridge now serves as a rest area and a popular site for weddings. Located on Shoreview Drive off Garoutte Road, the bridge is a short drive from Cottage Grove. Ideal for weddings or special occasions. Parking is limited to fourteen vehicles. |
